DSFencing Club
Founded in early 2023 by former national fencers, DSFencing Club is driven by a profound passion for the sport and a clear mission: to make fencing accessible for everyone. Our specialisation is epee, and we sharpen the skills of fencers across three crucial age categories: 5- to 7-year-olds, 8- to 11-year-olds, and 12-year-olds and up.
As the dynamic new club on the block, we’re committed to making fencing accessible. We offer the most cost-effective fencing programmes to encourage more newcomers to discover the sport.
Elite coaching personalised for you
Our unique strength lies in the calibre of our coaches. Unlike many established clubs where beginners often learn from other novices or senior students, our curriculum is meticulously designed and delivered by ex-national Epee fencers who founded DSFencing Club. They personally oversee training, ensuring every student, from beginner to advanced, receives expert guidance. We only bring in current national team fencers as assistant coaches, guaranteeing top-tier instruction at every level. This means you’re learning directly from the best.

Coach Sean
Coach Sean brings a wealth of experience and a deep-seated passion to DS Fencing. As a former national Epee fencer, he proudly represented Singapore for five years, achieving multiple competitive victories throughout his distinguished career.
While he has transitioned from active competition, Coach Sean’s dedication to the sport remains as sharp as ever. He has channeled his extensive experience and unwavering enthusiasm into coaching, successfully mentoring fencers at various schools. He holds the SG-Coach Level 1 (Fencing) certification, showing his dedication to top-notch coaching.
Inspired by his love for fencing and a strong desire to nurture future champions, Coach Sean, alongside his partner Darryl, co-founded DSFencing Club. His firsthand understanding of competitive epee, combined with his proven coaching ability, means every student learns from an experienced champion.
Coach Darryl
Coach Darryl brings a wealth of experience and a vibrant energy to DSFencing Club.
As a former national epee fencer, he proudly represented Singapore for seven years, a testament to his dedication and skill on the piste.
While he has stepped away from competitive fencing, Darryl’s commitment to the sport remains as strong as ever. He holds the SG-Coach Level 1 (Fencing) certification, further solidifying his qualifications and dedication to providing quality instruction.
Coach Darryl also continues to engage in recreational fencing and dedicates his time to mentoring younger athletes, passing on his extensive knowledge and love for the sport. This passion, coupled with his desire to make fencing more widely available, led him to co-found DSFencing Club.
Beyond the piste, Darryl is a strong advocate for general fitness, regularly hitting the gym to maintain peak physical condition.
