Our sparring sessions are primarily tailored for:

  • Competitive fencers looking to hone your match strategy, refine techniques under pressure, and prepare for upcoming competitions.

  • Recreational fencers seeking to maintain and improve your skills, enjoy dynamic bouts, and stay active in a stimulating environment.

  • Serious beginners from our Group or Individual Training who’s eager to fast-track your learning and become competitive, these sessions are key to putting your lessons into action.

We welcome fencers aged 12 years and up who are ready to take their epee game to the next level.

Where are your beginner classes held in Singapore?

We hold all our fencing lessons, including beginner classes, individual classes, and sparring sessions at 2 Telok Blangah Street 31, Yeo’s Building, Singapore 108942. The nearest MRT station (Telok Blangah or Labrador Park) is a 10-minute walk.

Our beginner fencing class structure includes: 

  • Warm-up exercises to prepare your body. 
  • Footwork drills to teach essential movement patterns. 
  • Blade work drills to practice offensive and defensive techniques. 
  • Technical explanations of rules, strategies, and etiquette. 
  • Controlled sparring sessions where you can apply what you’ve learned in a safe and supervised manner. 
  • Cool-down stretches.

Absolutely not! Our beginner lesson in Singapore is specifically designed for individuals with no prior fencing experience. Our expert instructors will guide you through all the fundamentals from scratch, ensuring a comfortable and effective learning experience.
While a basic level of activity is helpful, our beginner fencing lessons are structured to accommodate participants of all fitness levels. You’ll gradually improve your stamina, strength, and agility as you learn and practice. Don’t let your current fitness level deter you from trying!
We believe it’s never too early or too late to start fencing! Our beginner classes are open to kids as young as five years old, giving them a head start in building coordination, confidence, and focus. We also welcome teenagers and adults of all ages who are keen to pick up this exciting sport in Singapore.
For your first fencing class, please come dressed in comfortable athletic attire (e.g., t-shirt and track pants/shorts) and sports shoes suitable for indoor activity. Due to Singapore’s hot weather, we recommend bringing a full water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the session.
No, you don’t need to. All necessary fencing equipment, including masks, jackets, gloves, and weapons will be provided. You can focus on learning without the immediate need to invest in gear. We will advise you on equipment purchase once you progress to higher levels.
Yes, fencing is considered one of the safest martial arts and sports. Modern fencing utilises extensive protective gear and blunted weapons. Our instructors are highly trained and experienced in ensuring a safe training environment, adhering to strict safety protocols at all times. Minor bruises are possible, just like in any physical activity, but serious injuries are extremely rare.
Upon completion of the beginner class, you’ll have a solid foundation in fencing. We offer progressive Intermediate and Advanced classes to continue your development, depending on whether you wish to fence recreationally or aspire to competitive levels. Our coaches will advise you on the next steps in your fencing journey.
